Herbicides

Due to the wide variety of applications, rates, targets, crops timming, method of application, soil types, etcs., rates have been omitted.

2-4-D Amine (NuFarm): Broadleaf herbicide that is used for selective weed control in turf prevention of seed formation where crops are not involved (i.e., roadsides, fencerows, and right-of-way).

2-4-D LV4 (Agriliance): This herbicide is formulated to provide control superior to that of regular 2,4-D products in the cool weather conditions of the early spring or fall. It is a low volatile ester, which penetrates waxy cuticles and a solubilized 2,4-D acid which increases translocation to the growing point of the weed in cooler weather conditions. Labeled for ornamental and turf (golf courses, cemeteries, parks and other turf areas). Also labeled for weed and brush contorl in non-crop areas (fencerows, roadsides, drainage, ditchbanks, vacant lots, airfields, railroad and highway right-of-wayand other non-crop areas).

Razor (NuFarm) : A water-soluble liquid, mixes readily with water Razor 30 to be applied as a foliar spray for the the control or elimination of most herbaceous plants. It may be applied through most standard industrial or field-type sprayers after dilution and through mixing with water.

Atrazine 4L (Agriliance): This herbicide controls many annual broadleaf and grass weeds in turf and in corn, sorghum and sugarcane.

Duiron 4L (Mana): Diuron 4L is an effective herbicide for control of most annual and perennial broadleaf and grass weeds.

Diuron 80 DF (Mana):

Diuron 80DF is an effective herbicide for control of most annual and perennial broadleaf and grass weeds.

Banvel (Micro Flo): Will control many annual, biennial and perennial broadleaf weeds in turf, and many woody brush and vine species commonly found in rangeland and non-cropland areas.

Basagran (BASF): Basagran SG provides control of 23 broadleaf weeds and annual and perennial sedges in cool- and warm- season turf.

Cool Power (Nufarm): A premium postemergent herbicide for broadleaf weed control. Cool Power is an ester formulation of MCPA and triclopyr with dicamba acid. Cool Power is excellent for winter weed control in dormant warm-season turf and early season application in transition zones and cool-season turf.

Finale (BASF): A broad-spectrum, non-selective herbicide for general week control in a veriety of sites such as golf courses, landscapes, etc.

Fusilade II (Syngenta): Fusilade is a selective grass herbicide which controls grass weeds in ornamentals, landscape adn production areas, and in certain desirable turfgrasses to remove Bermudagrass. Fusilade may be applied directly over the top of the desired plants including groudcovers, annuals, etc., and gives complete control of grass weeds within 14-21 days. Fusilade only controls grass weeds; it does not control any broadleaf weeds or nutsedge (nutgrass).

Manage (Monsanto): Selective postemergent spray for control of most sedges including purple, yellow and many others. May be used over most warm- and cool-season grasses or as post-directed spray in established woody ornamentals. It is a water dipersible granule premeasured in a water-soluble bag.

Taget Plus (MSMA): Useful for selective postemergent weed control, particularly for grassy weeds, 912 Herbicide is a combination of MSMA herbicide and surfactants. Best results are obtained on young, actively growing weeds at air temperature above 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pendulum 3.3 (BASF): For preemergence control of crabgrass, goosegrass and most other grassy and broadleaf weeds in cool- and warm- season turfgrasses. Pendulum can be used for over-the-top weed control in over 150 ornamentals.

Pennant Magnum (Syngenta): Pennant preemergence herbicide is registered for use of a wide range of ornamentals and warm-season turfgrasses. Both liqui and granular formulations of Pennant offer effective, economical control of yellow nutsedge and tough annual grassy and broadleaf weeds such as crabgrass, poa annua, foxtail, pigweed and others.

Princep (Syngenta): Princep is a preemergent herbicide that controls a wide variety of annual broadleaf and grass weeds in ornamental plantings and nurseries. Princep provides proven, broad spectrum weed control, and is available as a liquid or a water dispersible granule.

Reward (Syngenta): Reward is a non-selective general herbicide for use in most areas including sensitive aquatic and wetland areas with its full turf and landscape ornamentals labeling. Reward is an excellent spot spray and edging product with its contact activity against actively growing weeds. Reward is also very effective against the major aquatic weed pests both above and below the water surface. In fact, it is the only aquatic herbicide which offers such activity. Reward is safe to fish and other aquatic organisms when used according to the label.

Aqua-Neat (Nufarm): A contact postemergence herbicide used to control undesirable vegetation growing in and adjacent to aquatic sites.

Razor Pro (Nufarm): Non-selective postemergent for use in golf courses, nurseries, lawn care, turfgrass production, industrial and many other applications. Rainfast in 1 to 2 hours, non- volatile,no soil activity.

Roundup Pro (Monsanto): Non-selective postemergent for use in golf courses, nurseries, lawn care, turfgrass production, industrial and many other applications. Rainfast in 1 to 2 hours, non- volatile,no soil activity.

Sencor (Bayer): Sencor is a highly effective herbicide for the control of goosegrass in dormant and actively growing Bermudagrass turf. Sencor also offers control of several of the hard-to-control broadleaf weeds like common chickweed, corn speed-well, hanbit, parsley-piert and spurweed. One postemergent application will usually provide season-long control. Sencor can be tank mixed with MSMA to control crabgrass, nutsedge, barnyardgrass, common yellow woodsorrel, sand bur and dallisgrass.

Simazine 4L (Drexel): Simazine 4L is a herbicide that should be applied before weeds emerge or following removal of weed growth. It controls a wide variety of annual broadleaf and grass weeds when used at selective rates in ornamental plantings.

Surflan (UAP): A selective preemergence surface-applied herbicide for control of annual grasses adn many broadleaf weeds in established warm-season turf, landscape and container-grown ornamnetals, ground covers, Christmas trees, and non-crop areas and industrial sites.

Triplet (Nufarm): Now labeled for golf courses and sod farms, Triplet's unique amine formulation controls most broadleaf weeds in turf, including hard-to-kill species, with only one application. For example, Triplet gives rapid knockdown of dandelion while offering a broad spectrum of control. It provides the widest margin of safety to northern (cool season) grasses adn minimizes the risk of injury to off-target plants.

Vantage (BASF): A selective broad-spectrum postemergence herbicide for the control of annual and perennial grassy weeds in turf, ornamentals, non-food and non-crop sites.
